SAFeCRAFT at Europe-Korea Conference on Science and Technology 2024 (EKC2024)

Professor Peilin Zhou from University of Strathclyde was invited to give a presentation to introduce the SAFeCRAFT Project at the Europe-Korea Conference on Science and Technology 2024 (EKC2024), which took place in Coventry, UK, from the 30th of July to 2nd August 2024.

EKC2024 is the 16th Europe-Korea Conference in the series hosted by the Korean Scientists and Engineers Association in the UK (KSEAUK) together with the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) and eight other Korean Scientists and Engineers Associations in Europe which are based in Germany (VeKNI), France (ASCoF), Austria (KOSEAA), Finland (KOSES), Scandinavia (KSSEA), the Netherlands (KOSEANL), Switzerland (KSEAS), and Belgium (KOSEAbe).

As we are still in the first year of Project the presentation was meant to give a general overview of the work to be completed over the 4 years Project duration. As such, Professor Zhou’s talk entitled “Research and Development of De‐carbonisation Fuels’ Application for Waterborne Transport”, only introduced the vision, objectives, main tasks and expected outcomes of the SAFeCRAFT Project. The presentation was well received, and participants showed great interest in finding more about the results from the Project as the work progresses in the coming years.
