The SAFeCRAFT 2nd General Assembly Meeting was successfully held on February 13-14, 2025, in Patras, Greece, hosted at the New Port of Patras. The consortium extends its sincere gratitude to the University of Patras for hosting the event and providing excellent support throughout the meeting.
The gathering brought together project partners to review progress, exchange insights, and plan the next steps in advancing the safe and efficient use of sustainable fuels in maritime transport. Key discussions covered project management updates, technical developments in alternative fuel systems, safety evaluation through the HAZID workshop, digitalization strategies, and life cycle cost analysis. A visit to METACON provided valuable industrial insights relevant to the project’s objectives.
The meeting concluded with a strategic discussion on upcoming actions and collaboration opportunities, reinforcing SAFeCRAFT’s commitment to innovation in sustainable maritime fuels.
