Setting the Foundation for Hydrogen-Powered Demonstration

Under the leadership of Seanergy (SHIP), Task 2.1 focuses on defining the technical and operational requirements for the successful installation and operation of a hydrogen-based propulsion demonstrator. This phase involves creating comprehensive data templates, specifying data sources, assigning partner responsibilities, and setting key deadlines. A detailed timetable and risk management strategies are also developed to ensure smooth execution.

Both liquid hydrogen (LH2) and compressed hydrogen (CGH2) storage solutions are being analysed to determine the most effective option. The project will use a Decision Gate process to select the optimal solution, which will guide further design work in WP4 and subsequent implementation in WP6.

With meticulous planning and coordination, the project is laying a solid foundation for the transition to hydrogen-powered shipping, ensuring all technical, operational, and risk factors are addressed for a successful outcome.
