SAFeCRAFT Featured at the European Shipping Summit 2025

On March 19-20, 2025, the SAFeCRAFT project was proudly presented at the European Shipping Summit (ESS) in Brussels, a premier event addressing key challenges and opportunities in the maritime industry, including decarbonization, safety, and industrial competitiveness. Bringing together EU officials, policymakers, shipowners, ship managers, technology developers, investors, and key industry stakeholders, the summit provided an excellent platform to highlight SAFeCRAFT’s role in advancing safety and sustainability in the maritime sector.

At the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) booth, SAFeCRAFT was featured as an innovative initiative addressing the critical safety and regulatory challenges associated with new energy solutions for shipping. The project aims to develop cutting-edge methodologies and technologies that ensure the safe integration of alternative fuels and energy systems into maritime operations.

Beyond showcasing technical advancements, the summit fostered insightful discussions on the importance of collaboration, regulatory alignment, and innovative solutions in accelerating the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient shipping industry.

The participation of SAFeCRAFT at ESS 2025 underscores its commitment to shaping a safer, greener maritime future through rigorous research, industry engagement, and regulatory support.

We extend our gratitude to ABS for hosting SAFeCRAFT at their booth and to all stakeholders who contributed to the discussions.
