Ensuring Safety and Reliability in the SAFeCRAFT Project: A Comprehensive Qualitative Evaluation

An enhanced risk assessment model developed in the first task of the Work-package (WP) led by University of Strathclyde will be applied to evaluate the risk levels. Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) will be used to identify potential hazards, operability problems, and evaluate system reliabilities.

For high risks, Risk Control Options (RCOs) and Cost-Benefit Assessment (CBA) will be conducted to determine the optimal design solutions while mitigating critical risks to acceptable levels.

Based on all the analyses performed, assessment results and safety recommendations will be integrated into the confirmation of the detailed designs and engineering process in WPs 4 and 6.
