Engineering activities under Task 4.2, led by HYDRUS, are progressing steadily, with a strong focus on advancing the system design towards implementation.
The work has concentrated on the development and approval of the basic design, paving the way for the next steps involving the detailed 3D design and the preparation of the production design package (technical specifications). These materials will support the shipyard during the upcoming retrofit works.
The developed documentation is already being used for tendering purposes and will act as a key reference point for monitoring installation activities during the implementation phase.
To further strengthen safety and operational robustness, feedback from the Classification Society’s plan approval experts, along with inputs from the HAZOP workshop and the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), has been incorporated into the design documentation. This ensures that safety considerations are fully embedded as the project moves closer to installation.
