SAFeCRAFT: Enhancing Marine Fuel Safety with H2 and NH3 Regulation Analysis

Within the SAFeCRAFT project, Task 7.1, led by the University of Strathclyde, focuses on ‘GAP Analysis of Safety Assessment Models, Regulations, and Practices’. It entails a thorough examination of existing and future international and EU safety regulations concerning the risks associated with using H2 or NH3 as marine fuel. By understanding current practices, risk assessment techniques, and safety assessment practices, the task aims to develop a comprehensive risk assessment framework. Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methods will be applied to address hazard types and their significance, contributing to enhanced safety measures within the maritime sector.
