One of the key tasks of SAFeCRAFT project, is the preparation of the basic engineering package for the Demonstrator Vessel under Task 4.1 led by Hydrus, following relevant developments in proceeding engineering related to Work Package (WP2), regarding demonstration implementation plan. Specifically, subject task shall focus on necessary retrofit works that shall need to take place onboard the selected Demonstrator Vessel in order to constitute functional the selected alternative fuel supply system power train, which for subject case shall be a PTI/PTO solution fed by a H2 Genset for the PTI mode. Retrofit works shall include amongst others preparation of various 2D drawings and calculations reflecting the interconnection between Demonstrator’s as built systems and the parts constituting the PTI/PTO + H2 GENSET solution. The finally produced basic engineering package shall be submitted to Demonstrator’s Classification Society for review/approval and at the same time shall pave the way for a more detailed design package (Task 4.2) towards the actual retrofit.
